For a fourth consecutive year, the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria (CWBB) in partnership with the European Investment Bank (EIB) provides a platform for organizations and individuals whose initiatives create fairer and sustainable conditions for business and social development. This year’s edition of the awards features two new special categories: “Inspiring Civil Society Initiative (NGO) Contributing to Social Inclusion” and “Inspiring Communication Campaign to Promote Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion.”

Each candidate submitting an award application will receive a free ticket to the 2025 Global Women Leaders Forum: Fast and furious changing world. Women in the driving seat.

What are the 2025 Award Categories?

Nominations will be accepted in the following 4 categories:

1. Inspiring initiative for diversity, equality, and inclusion in the workplace

This category recognizes companies and organizations that create a sustainable culture of diversity and actively promote equal opportunities and inclusion in the workplace. We are looking for programs and practices that have a real tangible impact on people and business environments – through changes in policies, organizational culture, and everyday operational practices.

2. Inspiring civil society initiative – NGOs contributing to social inclusion

This NEW category will recognize non-governmental organizations (NGOs) whose activities contribute to building a more just, inclusive, and supportive society in Bulgaria. The award aims to highlight the efforts of the civil sector to achieve sustainable change and reduce the social isolation of different groups in society.

3.  Inspiring initiative for the integration of young people and the realization of their potential in Bulgaria

This category recognises programmes and initiatives that help young people in Bulgaria develop their potential and find their rightful place in the labour market. The aim is to showcase successful business models that not only attract but also retain young talent, giving young people the opportunity to develop and contribute to the future of business and our country.

4. Inspiring communication campaign to promote diversity, equality, and inclusion initiatives

This NEW category will recognize the most impactful communication campaigns – by the corporate sector, PR and advertising agencies, media, or civil society organizations which that successfully promote the values of diversity, equality, and inclusion. The main goal is to highlight campaigns that create public awareness, change attitudes, and contribute to positive change in society and at the workplace.

One of all participating initiatives will receive a Distinction Award from the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria for outstanding achievements in building a diverse and inclusive working environment.
