Organizational Practices for Employees with More Than 20 Years of Professional Experience

Employees with extensive professional experience bring valuable knowledge, expertise, and organizational memory that are essential for sustainable growth and long-term success. In today’s rapidly changing labour market, it is increasingly important to understand how companies attract, develop, and retain not only young talent but also experienced professionals.

With this in mind, the **Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria (CWBB)** is launching a survey dedicated to professionals with more than 20 years of work experience and their place in today’s workplace.

We invite you to take part in this initiative by sharing the practices and observations of the organization you represent.

Our goal is to gather the perspectives of both employers and experienced professionals in order to better understand:

  • attitudes toward attracting and retaining experienced employees;
  • the real challenges and opportunities they face;
  • the importance of factors such as professional development, recognition, adaptation to new technologies, an intergenerational work environment, psychological safety, and a sense of being valued within the organization.

To support this initiative, we have prepared two online questionnaires:

Questionnaire for Employers:

We would appreciate your participation by sharing practices and observations related to the company you represent. We kindly ask each company to submit **one response** from a representative with a comprehensive overview of the organization’s people policies. Suitable respondents include: HR Director, HR Business Partner, Talent Acquisition Lead, Head of People & Culture, Learning & Development Specialist, CEO, Managing Director, Executive Team Member, or Manager of a business function or business unit.

Questionnaire for Employees:

We hope you will complete the survey and share this invitation with relevant colleagues within your organization. Every response matters in helping us better understand how companies can recognize, develop, and fully leverage the potential of experienced professionals.

Deadline for participation: 26 July 2026.

The survey is anonymous, and all information provided will be used solely for research purposes and reported only in aggregated form.

Thank you for your time and for your valuable contribution to this important topic!
