Presentation of the Report “Strength in the Shadows: Equality as a Driver of Sustainable Business”

The Bulgarian Foundation for Business and Human Rights is organizing a webinar on 11 November 2025 to present the findings of the report “Strength in the Shadows: Equality as a Driver of Sustainable Business.”

The report presents the results of the first study of its kind in Bulgaria applying the Gender Benchmark methodology of the World Benchmarking Alliance. The research analyses publicly available information on the commitment, policies, and practices of Bulgarian companies in the areas of gender equality, diversity, and the prevention of gender-based violence. The analysis identifies key gaps, good practices, and concrete recommendations for better integrating the principles of equality and human rights into corporate governance.

The companies included in the report were selected based on specific criteria, including: signatories of the Diversity Charter; companies that have endorsed the Women’s Empowerment Principles; the Top 100 Employers for 2024 according to the Career Show ranking; and companies that demonstrate active policies promoting inclusive workplaces and the prevention of violence and harassment.
