Series of trainings ‘Equality in Action’

In March and April 2026, the team of the Bulgarian Foundation for Business and Human Rights will conduct a series of free trainings ‘Equality in Action’ within the framework of the project ‘The Office as a Space for Power and Inspiration’, funded under the “Force” programme of the Bulgarian Fund for Women and co-financed by the European Union.

This is the first training programme of its kind in Bulgaria, aimed at the application of the principles of equality, prevention of violence and creation of a safe and supportive working environment. The programme is developed based on an in-depth analysis of the public policies and practices of leading companies in Bulgaria and addresses key challenges that businesses face in the context of human rights, diversity and due diligence requirements. It combines a strategic perspective, a legal framework and a socio-psychological approach, focusing on practical solutions and applicable tools for companies.

Training programme:

Module 1: Equality strategy, goals and initiatives for inclusion
Educators: Olya Peneva and Milena Stateva

  • 6th March 2026, 9:30 – 13:00 (online)

Module 2: Human rights and supply chains; Grievance channels
Educators: Olya Peneva and Milena Stateva

  • 20th March 2026, 9:30 – 13:00 (online)

Module 3: Workplace harassment. Domestic violence and its impact on the workplace
Educators: Milena Stateva and Diana Georgieva

  • 8th April 2026, 9:30 – 1:00 PM (online)

The programme is designed as a sequential training process and each module builds on the previous one and addresses different but interrelated aspects of equality, human rights and a safe working environment. For this reason, to achieve maximum practical effect from the training, the BFBHR team recommends that representatives participate in all three modules, if possible.

The trainings are open to employees from companies in Bulgaria; however pre-registration is required. Please complete the form by 6th February 2026, indicating your selected training, name, position and contact email address.
